Twilight Tours, founded in 1984, is one of the oldest companies in the United States specializing in the organization, management, and operation of trips to observe total solar eclipses around the world. The firm is run by Joel Harris, a 29-year veteran of some 15 total eclipses, and a highly experienced amateur astronomer. Harris has written numerous articles in astronomy periodicals over the past 12 years, and has authored a book on the topic of eclipse observation and pursuit: "Chasing the Shadow - An Observer's Guide to Eclipses" with Richard Talcott of Astronomy magazine, published in 1994 by Kalmbach Publishing in Milwaukee, WI. The company is staging eclipse expeditions, open to both experienced eclipse "chasers" and novice "umbraddicts" as well, to the nations of Australia (December 2002) and Egypt (2006).
